“I wasn’t just looking for a job. I wanted to build something.”
Maurizio joined BTS Logistics in 2019 through a BBL program (a work-study track). Six years later, he’s an essential part of our Ocean Freight Import Operations team. “From the moment I walked in, it just felt right. The people were open, the atmosphere was professional, and everyone really took the time to show me the ropes. I wasn’t just ‘the student’ – I was truly part of the team.”
Maurizio followed the BBL track for three years: four days of work, one day of school. What made the difference for him? “They didn’t just throw you in the deep end. They invested in you. Taught you things. Trusted you. From day one, I learned real logistics – not how to make coffee.” After finishing his program, the decision to stay was an easy one. “The feeling was mutual. They wanted me to stay, and I still felt I was growing. That’s when I knew: this was the right move.”
From learning the basics to managing files independently – Maurizio is now confident, self-reliant, and proud of what he’s achieved. “The moment I’m most proud of? Getting my contract after the BBL program.” Considering a BBL track yourself? “If you’re 17 or 18, eager to work hard and learn fast – at BTS you get freedom, guidance, and room to grow. You’re not treated as ‘the intern’, but as future talent.”
