Special cargo, oversized freight and complex air shipments require more than transport capacity. They require detailed operational knowledge, careful planning and a clear understanding of what is possible within the aircraft.
That is why our Supervisor Sales Air Freight recently visited Lufthansa Cargo in Frankfurt by special invitation of our Lufthansa cargo contact. The visit provided valuable insight into the operational side of air freight, from freighter loading and ULD build-up to the handling of overhang and overweight cargo.
Seeing these processes up close gives us an even deeper understanding of how cargo is planned, positioned and loaded for different aircraft types. The visit also covered the use of highloaders, aircraft loading procedures and secondary screening for specific types of goods.
One of the most valuable insights was how intelligently every part of the aircraft is used. In air freight, space, weight, dimensions and safety requirements all have to come together with precision. This is especially important for special cargo and shipments that require additional planning.
By expanding our operational knowledge, we can advise our customers even better on air freight solutions that are practical, efficient and reliable.
We would like to thank Lufthansa Cargo for the invitation and for sharing their expertise with us.
